An advanced kidney care facility focused on patient comfort and well-being.

The city of Edmonton needed an advanced facility to cater to the increasing demand for kidney care. The newly built clinic was designed to offer patients the comfort of receiving dialysis outside of a hospital setting while guaranteeing their safety and well-being.

Kinetic BMS was awarded the two-phase renovation project through an open tender process. In phase one, we developed the main mechanical room and general building infrastructure for the future phase, including the tenant space on the main floor. With the finalization of phase one, Alberta Health Services occupied the building and served the community with the completed portion of the facility. Phase two involved the development of the second floor, including the installation of room control and additional mechanical equipment required for the expansion.

Once both phases were complete, the end result was one seamless BMS system that fully integrated all equipment from both projects. The fully integrated system allows operational staff to monitor critical elements of this critical indoor environment while simultaneously ensuring they can respond quickly when issues arise.
